On borrowed time, he dared to tread

When vows he took must not be shred

Fast cars and the high life, his prize

‘The Life of The Party,’ in gleaming skies

His aging parents, distant and tame

Fame’s glimmer had no bearing on their game

Orgies hosted in his mansion’s hall

As he cast shadows that made destinies fall

Unscrupulous agents, loyal and sly

Covering his excesses, never asking why

Innocent lives, their hopes undone

Sacrificed for the whims of a wayward son

A visit one cold, fateful night

In chilling words, they extinguished his light

Pleads for ‘more time’ met a stern rebuff

Days later, the truth, cold and tough

Cause of demise, in whispers enclosed

‘Drug overdose,’ as his chapter closed.
